Director, Business Development, Defence Australia

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for a highly driven sales and business development professional who can utilise their solid background and stakeholder networks in the defence, defence industry or CASG communities to identify and qualify new business opportunities within our Australian Defence Business Unit. This is a sales and partnership building role, directly accountable for Australian defence sales and strategy, positive business results and the execution of key business development initiatives.

Critical to this role is commercial acumen, a passion for the defence industry and an ability to influence and grow long-term relationships and partnerships, applying an entrepreneurial and creative mindset.

 Key responsibilities of the role include:

  • Develop, identify, track, assess and qualify new business opportunities.
  • Develop strategies and tactics for profitable sales growth consistent with our strategic plan.
  • Manage bids and proposals using our Lead to Award processes.

Electrical Engineer

ABOUT THE ROLE

With large future-forward defense contracts on the horizon, an experienced Electronical Engineer will have the exciting opportunity to join our talented and growing Engineering team. Some of the key responsibilities of the role include the following:

  • Electronics hardware design, analog and digital signal circuits,
  • Power supply design, AC/DC and DC/DC conversion and filtering,
  • EMI/EMC consideration in design and testing,
  • Utilizing serial communication protocols and interfaces like RS422/485, Ethernet, SPI, I2C etc. and discrete interfaces,
  • Implementing Transient and ESD protection for power and signal interfaces,
  • Schematics and PCB layout design and review in Altium,
  • System and PCB grounding design,
  • Electronic (discrete, ICs, etc.) and electromechanical (switches, LEDs, etc.) component selection for designs from scratch,
  • Familiar with high-speed signals layout and signal integration analysis,
  • Using circuit simulation tools like LTspice,
  • Producing and reviewing project documentation, understanding, and translating system-level requirements into detailed design solutions,
  • Working closely with software/firmware and mechanical design teams, and
  • Support the sub-system requirement generation and design verification.

Program Director, Defence

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for a highly motivated, organised, skilled leader with previous experience managing large-scale defence program/s to take on our Australian portfolio of programs. The primary focus for this role is to lead the team to ensure every program is delivered successfully and to add the highest possible value to the organization.

Critical to this role’s success, is commercial acumen, leadership skills, program management experience, a background in the defence industry and the application of an entrepreneurial and creative mindset.

Key responsibilities of the role include:

  • Initiate and set goals for program/s according to the business strategic objectives
  • Cultivate relationships with existing and prospective defense customers
  • Develop an effective plan of action for running our programs from inception to completion

Systems Engineer

ABOUT THE ROLE

A new and exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Systems Engineer, ideally with Defence experience to join our growing engineering team in Sydney. This role plays an integral part in developing and implementing the system engineering life cycle for several defence projects.

The successful person will be able to utilise their systems engineering skills to elicit requirements and manage systems engineering outcomes within our interesting projects, all whilst fostering key stakeholder relationships.

Key responsibilities of the role include:

  • Elicit, document and manage requirements through the system engineering lifecycle;
  • Provide and support key system engineering activities on Defence projects, including the application of the relevant engineering standards and procedures;
  • Stakeholder engagement – build and maintain client relationships;
  • Support, manage and deliver system engineering disciplines including ILS, System Safety and Verification & Validation;
  • Technical document authoring and contributing to tender responses.
